Udemy Top Selling Courses – Does it really matter?
Well look at it this way. Udemy has an extensive variety of courses available on its platform. Not only that, it has multiple options available for the same course put up by different authors. The quality of all the courses put up by all the authors would not be the same. So, let’s say you choose a course on Udemy and you go ahead and buy it. But soon after buying the course, you realize that it is not what it promised to be. You feel like you have been cheated.
Why does this happen?
This happens simply because there is no specific criteria required for becoming an instructor on Udemy. It means that anyone can post their video lectures on Udemy. This means that I can become an instructor, in fact, you can also become an instructor.
Some of the courses on Udemy are very well developed. They are well-curated and have good quality content. Frankly, some instructors have put a lot of effort in creating their courses.
But at the same time, some of the courses on Udemy are not even close to being up to the mark. They turn out to be a total waste of time and money.
Criteria to Choose Best Online Course on Udemy
To select courses on Udemy I have made up certain criteria that they have to meet before I go about investing in them. This is done to provide best results. I am sure these would help you as well.
The criterion that I have developed is based on the following aspects.
- Ratings-Udemy gives a rating out of 5. The more the rating, better will be the course. This is a general rule. But this is not the case always. I always prefer courses with a 4+ rating.
- Instructors Rating – This could be also one of the criteria to choose a course. This will help to sort an instructor. An instructor with only a few reviews might have a higher rating than an instructor whose course has been opted for by a large number of people and has an average rating.
- Levels –The instructors might upload a video for a particular level of the course. It might be for a beginner, intermediate, expert or for all levels. I have listed courses with all levels only.
- Language –The instructor might upload the video in many different languages. I have listed the courses which are in English language only.
